Women’s Centres are Open During the Pandemic

covid smile (1)

Women’s Centres across Nova Scotia continue to be open, providing services for women: During stay-at-home orders Women’s Centres provided remote services only – over the phone, email, video chat, etc. We have now moved to a combination of remote services and face-to-face (booked appointments only). We are all working towards drop-in services being re-established in the
future.

There are nine community-based women’s centres in Nova Scotia—Sydney, Port Hawksbury, Antigonish, New Glasgow, Truro, Sheet Harbour, Lunenburg, Annapolis Royal and Tri Counties— offering support and advocacy services to individual women, workshops and programs covering everything from self-esteem and pre-employment skills, to sexual assault support groups and healthy relationships for young people, and young women in particular.
