Recognizing Women September 2025

wcc 25-09 (1)

Hello, friends—and welcome back!

We hope your summer was filled with sunshine, rest, and meaningful moments. As we step into fall, we’re energized and ready to return to what matters most: empowering women and strengthening communities across Nova Scotia.

This year, Connect Women’s Centres is celebrating an incredible milestone—35 years of advocacy, empowerment, and vital community support. As the unified, feminist voice for Nova Scotia’s nine Women’s Centres, we remain committed to sharing knowledge, deepening connections, and driving gender equality forward.

✨ To mark this milestone, we’re hosting a province-wide conference on October 21, 2025, in Halifax.  Our theme, inspired by Tuesday Ryan Hart of Find the Outside, is:
“Relationship is the Resolution.”

When we lead with relationship, we don’t just find a way forward—we create lasting change.

This day will bring together frontline workers, advocates, and system leaders to explore how trust, courageous conversations, and collective intelligence can transform our work and create stronger supports for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals.

No cost to attend—but we’re inviting participants to bring donations of feminine hygiene supplies. These essential items will be distributed through our Women’s Centres to directly support women and girls across the province.

Please register here.
