World Aids Day – December 1, 2024
World AIDS Day is when citizens around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses since the beginning of the pandemic. This year, UNAIDS wants to ‘Let Communities Lead’ the efforts to halt the HIV epidemic in Canada. It ends with us.
Women’s Brain Health Day – December 2, 2024
70% of Alzheimer’s sufferers are women. You can’t ignore a number this big. Women’s Brain Health Initiative (WBHI) helps protect the brain health of women, caregivers, and their families. We create evidence-informed preventative health education solutions to safeguard mental wellness and prolong cognitive vitality and fund research to combat brain-aging disorders that disproportionately affect women.
National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women – December 6, 2024
On December 6, we observe the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This day honors the memory of 14 women who were tragically killd at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal in 1989. It also serves as a reminder to take action against gender-based violence and work towards creating a safer and more equal world for all individuals. Join us as we remember and take action against violence towards women on this important day of remembrance. Together, we can make a difference
